of Annapolis, asking for an appropriation of a sum of money
for services rendered the State of Maryland.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

The petition of Thomas Sheppard and 236 other citizens of
the State praying for the passage of a law for the better pro-
tection of Wild Fowl,

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.

Mr. Baldwin, of Harford, presented the petition of W.
Rush Michael and S. B. Rickey and 35 others, asking for a
law for the better protection of Wild Fowl.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
that subject.

Mr. Biddle presented the petition of J. W. Davis, Wm.
Knight acid others, of the 1st district of Cecil county, Md.,
tor a hog law in said district.

Which was read and referred to the Cecil delegation.

Mr. Wilmer presented the petition of Jacob Hyley and 35
citizens of Kent county, praying for a law to protect fox
hunters.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Beck, Hardcastle,.
of Caroline, and Brown.

Mr. Beck presented the petition of Stephen Constable and
