248 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 3r

ADJUTANT GENERAL'S OFFICE,

Baltimore, February 3, 1870.
To the Honorable,

The General Assembly of Maryland :
GENTLEMEN ;—There are on file in my office a number of
judgments rendered under the Act of 1868, chapter 414, in
favor of the State of Maryland, and I am informed that there
are others still in the hands of the Magistrates, transcripts
of which have not reached me.

As these judgments are all against a poor but most de-
serving class of our citizens, I have delayed issuing execu-
tion on the same, and most respectfully suggest that your
Honorable Body confer upon me authority to have them en-
tered satisfied.

Very repectfully, your obedient servant,

GEORGE H. BIER,

Adjutant General.

Which was ifad and lefened to the Committee on Wayt>

the Treasury of the State,, subject to the order of this Com-
mittee, to be applied towards the furnishing of the new Man-
sion. The Committee refer to the account of sales filed here-
