of said person or persons within the limits of the State of
Maryland.

After section 414 add the following :

That any manufacturer, dealer, agent or other person or
persons, who shall adulterate, add to, or take anything from
any commercial manure labelled in accordance with this Act,
or who shall use the brand or trade mark of any manufac-
turer, other than his own, shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and shall, upon conviction thereof, before any
competent tribunal, be punished by a fine not exceeding one
hundred dollars, one-half to go to the informer.

Which were severally read.

Mr. Hoblitzell moved that the further consideration of the
bill be postponed, and the bill be made the order of the day
for Wednesday next, 9th instant.

Mr. Biddle submitted the following amendment to the
motion :

Strikeout " Wednesday," and insert Tuesday.
Pending the consideration of which,

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the day,
the House proceeded to the consideration of the Joint Reso-
lutions submitted by Mr. Merrick, in reference to the claim
of the State against the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road.

Pending which,

Mr. Hoblitzell moved that the fiuther consideration thereof
be postponed, and the Resolutions be made the order of the
day for Wednesday next, the 9th inst.

Decided in the negative.
On motion of Mr. Hoblitzell,

The Joint Resolutions submitted by him on Monday last
in reference to the claims of the State against the Baltimore
and Ohio Rail Road, were taken up for consideration, and

Ou motion of Mr. Hoblitzell,
Were read a second time.

Mr. Hoblitzell moved to substitute the Resolutions just read
for the original Resolutions submitted by Mr. Merrick

Pending the consideration of which,
On motion of Mr. Colton,

At 3 1/2 o'clock, P. M., the House adjourned until to-morrow
morning at 11 o'clock.
