Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal section 12, Article 28, Code of Pub-
lic Laws, relating to County Commissioners, and to re-enact
the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Streett,

Leave was granted to the Harford county delegation to in-
troduce a bill to authorize the Governor to appoint an addi-
tional Justice of the Peace for each election district of Har-
ford county, said appointees to be conversant with the Ger-
man language.

On motion of Mr. Webb,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to amend the charter of the German Fire In-
surance Company of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Crouse,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill to authorize the County Commissioners of Carroll
county, to indemnify Wm. Shaw, for the destruction of his
printing press property in the City of Westminster.

On motion of Mr. Meekins,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Printing to intro-
duce a bill, establishing a uniform system of contracting for
printing of all such matter pertaining to and for the use of
the Legislative and Executive Departments of the State.

On motion of Mr. Sword,

Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation
to report a bill to amend the charter and extend the corpo-
rate limits of the town of Williamsport, in Washington
county.

On motion of Mr. Jordan,

Leave was granted to the Carroll county delegation to in-
troduce a bill to amend the corporation charter of New
Windsor, to give the Burgess and Bailiff additional powers.

Mr. Morse, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend an Act to incor-
porate the Parkton and Manchester Railroad Company,
passed at the January session, A. D., 1868, with proposed
amendment.
