Mr. Eblen presented the petition of Ann Maria Stansbury
for a pension—war of 1812-14.

Which was read and-referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

. Mr. White presented the petition of Jacob Barrick for a
pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills :

A bill entitled an Act to remedy and give effect to informal
and invalid deeds and quiet possession thereunder.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to amend an Act entitled an Act to
incorporate the Emmittsburg Railroad Company.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to add a new section to the Code of
PublicLocalLaws for Cecil county, under the title of "Schools''
for the purpose of apportioning the Academic Fund of said
county among the several Academies thereof.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Cecil dele-
gation.

Also,

Returned the Resolution authorizing the Librarian to extend
the use of the Library to the Judges of the Circuit Court for
Anne Arundel county during the sessions of said Court at
Annapolis,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
On motio-n of Mr. McCreery,

The vote by which bill entitled an Act to add additional
sections to Article 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws, re-
lating to the powers and duties of the Mayor, Aldermen and
Common Council of Frederick, to follow section 169, added
thereto by the Act of 1868, chapter 87, was passed,

Was reconsidered,

The question then recurring upon the passage of the bill,
