Mr. Brown, of Queen Anne's.

Mr. Sword presented the petition of John Kline, of Wash-
ington county, asking for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Baldwin, of Anne Arundel county, presented the peti-
tion of Henry Burtis and 200 other Oystermen of the City of
Annapolis, protesting against the present Oyster Law recog-
nizing dredging in the waters of the Chesapeake Bay, in the
State of Maryland.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries.

Mr. Blake presented the petition of Messrs. Kenly & Tilgh-
man and other merchants of Baltimore city, praying the
enactment of a law authorizing the erection of a bridge on
piers, and the removal of obstructions to the navigation of
the Narrows, at Kent Island, dueen Anne's county.

Which was read and referred to the Talbot delegation, and

Mr. Duvall presented the petition of Kesiah Chalk, widow
of Israel Chalk, soldier of the war of 1812, asking for a pen-
sion.

Mr. Turner presented the petition of Sarah J. Cunning-
ham for a pension—war of 1812-14.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Ehlen presented the petition of Mary Williams for a
pension—war of 1812-14.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Marbury presented the petitions of Elizabeth Jenkins,
widow of Lloyd Jenkins, a soldier of the war of 1812 ; Elea-
nor B. Hatton, widow of Nathaniel Hatton, a soldier of the
war of 1812 ; Susan Duckett, widow of James Duckett, a sol-
dier of the war of 1812 ; Elizabeth Moore, widow of Mordecai
J. Moore, a soldier of the war of 1812 ; Adaline Mullikin,
widow of Francis Mulliken, a soldier of the war of 1812, ask-
ing forpensions.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.
