Lutheran Church, in Frederick county, passed at December
session, 1849, of the General Assembly of Maryland, chapter
310, reported it Without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Timmons, from the Select Committee, to whom was
referred House bill entitled an Act to amend chapter 424, of
the laws passed January session, 1868, incorporating the
town of Berlin, in Worcester county, reported it without
amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Browne, from the Select Committee, to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act to empower the Mayor and
Common Council of Manchester, to subscribe to the capital
stock of the Parkton and Manchester Railroad Company, re-
ported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Stephenson, from the Select Committee, to whom was
referred House bill enticed an Act authorizing John H.
Stokes, of Harford county, surviving Trustee, to sell and con-
vey a parcel of land to the Trustees of Deer Creek Monthly
Meeting of Friends, for the use of their members at Broad
Creek Meeting, reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time,

Mr. Jump, from the Select Committee, to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act to provide for the per diem.
and mileage of Jurors in Talbot and Caroline counties, re-
ported it unfavorably,

And the report was adopted.

Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred House bill entitled an Act to repeal
section 18, of Article 73, of the Public General Laws, entitled
"Penitentiary," and to re-enact the same with amendments,
reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to empower all persons-
owners of water privileges or owners of lands along the
waters of the Antietam creek, inwashington county, &c.,

Was read the third time and rejected, for want of a consti-
tutional majority, by yeas and nays, as follows :
