Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Charles, Prince Gouge's and St. Mary's counties.

A bill entitled a supplement to an Act entitled an Act to
authorize the Franklin Railroad Company, of Pennsylvania,
to extend their works into Maryland, passed at December ses-
sion 1836, chapter 76, repealing so much of the first section
of said Act as empowers said Railroad to connect with the
Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad, &c.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Internal Improvements.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Citizens Bank of
Cumberland.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to amend section 1, of Article 38,
of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Fees of Officers,"
by repealing and re-enacting the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 4, of chapter 90, of
the Acts of 1868, entitled an Act to incorporate the Deer
Park Turnpike Road, of Baltimore county, and re-enact the
same so as to read as follows.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to change the name of Tobacco Stick,
in Dorchester county, to Bloomington.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Dorchester, Caroline and Wicomico counties.

A bill entitled an Act to add a new section to Article 10,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Dorchester
county," sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Constables," to
come in after section 124.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators'
from Dorchester, Caroline and Wicomico counties.

The House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the Governor to appoint an additional Justice of the Peace
for the 1st election district of Dorchester county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Dorchester, Wicomico and Caroline counties.
