visions of this section, be and the same are hereby repealed. Said bill was then read the second time. Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred
House bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 7, of Article 42,
of the Code of Public General Laws, and to re-enact and
amend the same by adding a clause authorizing the Governor
to remit any part of the time for which any person may be
sentenced to confinement in the Penitentiary, reported it
without amendment. Said bill was then read the second, time. Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act to amend the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws by adding an additional section under the title of
Publication of Laws, prescribing at whose cost, in what
manner, and to whom the publication of certain Acts of As-
sembly, shall be certified, reported it without amendment. Said bill was then read the second time. Also, from the same Committee to whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act to amend section 272, of Article
93, of the Public General Laws, entitled "Testamentary
Laws," sub-title "Sales," and. re-enact the same so as to
read as follows, reported it without amendment. Said bill was then read the second time. Also, from the same Committee to whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 6, chapter 385,
of the Act of 1868, entitled an Act for taking and perpetuat-
ing the evidence, &c., of persons held. to labor and service
emancipated by the Constitution of 1864, and to substitute
in lieu thereof the following, reported it without amendment. Said bill was then read the second time. Also, from the same Committee to whom was referred
House bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 2, of chapter 31,
of the Acts of 1865, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments, reported it with the following amendment: Amend the title by inserting after the figure "5" the
words: in relation to the publication of Laws. Which, was read and adopted.
Said bill was then read the second time. Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 58, as amended
by chapter 348, of 1868, and section 60, of Article 16, of the
Code of Public General Laws, under the title of "Chancery,"
