EVENING SESSION.

WEDNESDAY, 8 o'clock P. M., March 30, 1870.
The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.
Present at roll call, the following Senators :

Messrs. President, Biggs, Carroll, Clarke, Fields, Grove,
Henkle, Henry, Hyland, Jump, Miller, Parker, Sellman,
Snyder, Spates, Stephenson, Welch, Wilson—18.

Mr. Henkle, from the Select Committee to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act for the relief of the Sweetzer
Bridge Company and Richard S. Stewart, and authorizing
the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county to cor-
rect the errors in the assessment of their property, reported
it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred House bill entitled, an Act to amend
the 3d section of the 75th Article of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, relating to Pleadings, Practice, and Process, re-
ported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1868,.
chapter 406, entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1867, chap.
184, entitled an Act to repeal Article 71, of the Code of Pub-
lie General Laws, entitled "Oysters," and re-enact the same
with amendments,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. President, Parker,
Fields, Sellman,
Grove, Snyder,
Henkle, Spates,
Henry, Stephenson,
Jump, Welch,
Miller, Wilson—14.

NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 171 and
172 of Article 16, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
