The Senate bill entitled an Act for the benefit of Agricul-
ture by securing the vendors of manures,

Being upon the second reading.
Mr. Maddox submitted the following amendments :

Amend by adding section 7, And be it enacted, That the
provisions of this Act shall apply to St. Mary's and Charles
counties.

Amend section 7 by striking out "7," and insert 8.
Which were severally read and adopted.
The sections, as amended, were then read and adopted.

Said bill was then ordered to be engrossed for the third

reading.

 
On motion by Mr. Clarke,

The House bill entitled a supplement to an Act entitled
an Act to incorporate the Broadway and Locust Point Ferry
Company, &c.,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas nays, as
follows:

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

The Clerk of the House Delegates delivered the following
bills:

A bill entitled an Act to provide for maintaining and
keeping in repair the public roads in Calvert county, and to
repeal the Act of 1868, chapter 299, so far as relates to Cal-
vert county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Calvert, Montgomery and Somerset counties.

And returned the following Senate bills :

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Cumberland Coal
and Iron Company to distribute certain of ifs assets among
its stockholders, and to reduce its capital,
