NEGATIVE—None.

Mr. Spates, from the Select Committee, to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act to ratify the action of the
Mayor and City Council of the City of Cumberland, author-
izing Jones' alley to be closed., reported it without amend-
ment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Parker, from the Select Committee, to whom the leave
was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to provide an
additional Justice of the Peace for election district, No. 1,
Calvert county.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Maddox, from the Select Committee, to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of 1868,
chapter 138, relating to election districts in Charles county,
by adding an additional section to said Act, reported it with-
out amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred
the House bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to
the Code of Public Local Laws for Charles county, under the
head of "Roads," reported it without amendments.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred House bill entitled an Act to regulate
and make uniform the compensation of the Judges of the Or-
phans' Courts of the several counties, and to fix the compen-
sation of the Judges of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore, in
pursuance of the 40th section of the 4th Article, of the Con-
stitution, reported it without amendment.

On motion by Mr. Miller,

Said bill was then referred to the Senators from Baltimore
city.

Mr. Miller, from the Select Committee, to whom was refer-
red House bill entitled an Act to prevent swine from run-
ning at large in the first and third election districts of Cecil
county, reported it with the following amendments :

Strikeout the words "and third election district," in line
4, 1st section, and insert the words, election district ; 2nd,
strike out the word "districts," in the 3rd line, 1st section.
