Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the Senate
Joint Resolutions relative to the alleged indebtedness of the
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, to the State of Maryland., with
the following proposed amendment :

JOINT RESOLUTIONS

Relating to the demands of the State of Maryland against the
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company.

Be it resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor is hereby authorized to employ additional coun-
sel to assist the Attorney General in instituting all proper
proceedings by suits at law, or by bill in equity, to enforce
the just demands of the State of Maryland against the Balti-
more and Ohio Railroad Company, and that the same should
be instituted without delay.

Which was read and adopted by yeas and nays, as follows:
