much as may be necessary of proceeds of sales and rents to
meet the provisions of this bill, pay over the balance into the
Treasury of the State.

Amend by numbering section 3 as section 4.
Which were severally read and adopted.

Mr. Fields, from the Select Committee, to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Wicomico county, to levy a sum of money
to pay the expense of legal proceedings about to be com-
menced for the recovery of the money necessary for the erec-

tion of a Court House and Jail for said county, according to
the tenor and condition of a certain bond heretofore execu-
ted by certain residents of said county, reported it without
amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
was referred House bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act en-
titled an Act to incorporate the Mutual Fire Insurance Com-
pany of Anne Arundel county, passed at the January ses-
sion 1868, chap. 91, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments, reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Henry, from the Select Committee, to whom was refer-

red House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Dorchester county to build abridge
over Fishing creek, in said county, and to levy a sum of money
for the same, reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Snyder, from the Select Committee, to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Citizens'
Railway Company of Baltimore city, reported it without
amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Spates, from the Select Committee to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Agricultu-
ral and Mechanical Society of Allegany county, West Vir-
ginia and Pennsylvania to issue coupon bonds and secure the
payment, reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

The Senate bill entitled an Act for the better protection of
Sheep, and to tax dogs in Baltimore county,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
