On motion of Mr. Snyder, it was

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that William
H. Hiss, the Reading Clerk, is absent on account of family
affliction.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee to whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act providing for the sale of the pro-
perty of the President and Visitors of the Maryland Hospi-
tal;, in Baltimore city, and for the removal of said hospital
to Spring Grove in Baltimore county, and for the transfer of
said Spring Grove property to the said President and Visi-
tors, reported it with the following amendments :

Amendment 2d—Amend by striking out the word "them"
in the fourth line, section 2, and insert in lieu thereof: the
said President and Visitors of the Maryland Hospital.

Section 3. And be it enacted, That said Commissioners
shall, after retaining two per centum for their services, in-
cluding all expenses of every kind, and after applying so
