tion district of Dorchester county.

Which was read and referred to the Dorchester dele-
gation.

The petition of Hudson Bramble and 94 other citi-
zens of Dorchester county, against the annexation of Hol-
land's island to Somerset county.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Lankford, Woolford
and Brattau,

Mr. Martin presented the petition of Ellen O'Bryan, of
Charles county, praying to be placed on the pension roll.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Also,

The petition of Lloyd Johnson, of Charles county praying
to be placed on the pension list.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions.

Mr. Kean presented the petition of George Herring, of
Allegany county, to be refunded a certain sutn of money.

Which was read and xeferred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Sanner presented the petition of W. H. LaPorte and 37
other citizens of Baltimore city, praying the passage of a law
to prohibit the manufacture of tin cans in the Maryland Peni-
tentiary.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Manu-
iactures.

Mr. Myers presented the petition of Noah Trimble and
sundry others, against the passage of a liquor law for Mt
Savage, in Allegany county.

Which was read and referred to the Allegany dele-
gation .

Mr. Hardcastle, of Caroline, presented the petition of Ed-
gar Plummer, Lot H. Temple, R. B. Culbreth. John Daily,
Wm. Hynson and 73 others, praying for the establishment of
a new election district in Caroline county, out of district No.
1 thereof.

Which was read and referred to the Caroline dele-
gation and Mr. Brown of Queen Anne's.

Mr. Brattan presented the petition of Levin Handy, Clerk
of the County Commissioners of Somerset county, for com-
pensation for services, as per order of the House of Delegates.
