and its Tributaries to introduce a bill to repeal the Act passed
at January session 1868, chapter 406, entitled an Act to re-
peal the Act passed the 23d of March 1867, chapter 184, enti-
tled an Act to repeal Article 71, of the Code of Public General
Laws of the State of Maryland, entitled "Oysters," and to
re-enact the same with amendments. On motion by Mr. Wilson, Leave was granted to the Senators from Prince George's
Carroll counties, and second legislative district of Baltimore
city, to introduce a bill to make valid a deed from the County
Commissioners of Prince George's county, to Charles Parker. On motion by Mr. Wilson, Leave was granted to the Senators from Prince George's,
Anne Arundel, Carroll, St. Mary's, Calvert, Charles and
Montgomery counties, to report a bill entitled an Act supple-
mentary to an Act entitled an Act for the repayment out of
the storage and outage on tobacco, of moneys heretofore de-
manded and received by the Inspectors of Tobacco, in viola-
tion of the Acts of 1864, chapter 346, and of 1865, chapter
194. The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bill: A bill entitled an Act for the relief of the Mayor and
Council of Hagerstown, and authorizing the raising by taxa-
tion the sum of ten thousand dollars for the purposes and in
the manner hereinafter mentioned, Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Washington, Harford and Frederick counties. On motion by Mr. Earle, Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report
a bill to authorize the Comptroller and Treasurer to dispose
of the State's stock in the Farmer's National Bank of Annap-
olis, amounting to $46.470, and so much of the $500.000 of
the State's stock in the main stem of the Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad as may be necessary ; Provided, that these stocks,
nor no part of them shall be disposed of, unless in addition
to the State's bonds provided for in a former bill, they be
found necessary to take up the State bonds past due since
1865, and those now approaching maturity. Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred House bill entitled an Act to add ad-
