NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.
Mr. Grove submitted the following :

Ordered, Whereas, the House of Delegates, a part of the
General Assembly, did make, (so far forth as its power ex-
tends,) an appropriation of $5,000 to endow and build a
Home for Friendless Children of the Eastern Shore, said
building or school to be located at or near Easton, in Talbot
county, therefore ; be it

Ordered, That Daniel M. Henry, John M. Miller, George
Vickers, William E. Timmons, Lemuel Malone, Alexander
Hardcastle, Joseph Cook, John Baggs, Levin Woolford, C.
M. Jump, or a majority of them, as Trustees, shall appoint
a Treasurer from among their number, who shall, in re-
spect to the aforesaid appropriation, and all other moneys
donated for the purposes indicated by this order, receipt for
all moneys, either to the Treasurer of the State, or to private
individuals.

Which was read, and
On motion by Mr. Fields,
Postponed until to-morrow.
On motion by Mr. Fields,

Leave was granted to the Senators from Caroline, Wicomi-
co and Dorchester counties to introduce a bill entitled an
Act to repeal section 9, of Article 38, of Code of Public Gene-
ral Laws relating to fees of officers.

On motion by Mr. Biggs,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to amend section 34, of Article 7.5, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title "Pleadings, Practice
and Process."
