to whom was referred House bill entitled an Act to add to
Article 28, of the Code of Public General Laws, an additional
section providing for the more effectual drainage of lands,
reported it without amendment, Said bill was then read the second time. Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act to remove the disabilities of all
persons which had been incurred under the 41st section of
Article 3 of the Constitution, and to restore them to the full
privileges of citizens, reported it without amendments. Said bill was then read the second time. Also, from the same Committee, to whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act to prevent the injury or destruc-
tion of baggage, reported it without amendment, Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Miller, from the Select Committee to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act for the better protection of
the bridge over the Sassafras river, from Fredericktown, in
Cecil county, to Georgetown, in Kent county, reported it
without amendment. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Earle, from the Select Committee to whom was referred
House bill entitled an Act to provide for the protection of
sheep in Queen Anne's, Dorchester and Somerset counties,
and for reimbursing owners of sheep for damages sustained
by them in the killing or injuring of sheep by dogs, reported
it without amendment.
Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Stephenson, from the Select Committee to whom the
leave was granted, reported abill entitled an Act for the bet-
ter protection of the land bordering upon the Chesapeake
bay and its tributaries.
Which was read the first time and ordered to be printed. Mr. Biggs, from the Select Committee to whom was refer-
red House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 187, of Arti-
cle 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick county
relating to the number of Justices of the Peace and Consta-
bles and to amend and re-enact said sections as follows.
