Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Carroll, from the Committee on Militia, reported a
bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1866, chapter 385,
entitled an Act to provide for the payment of pensions to
Maryland soldiers of the war of 1812, and widows of deceased
soldiers of the war of 1812.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Sellman, from the Select Committee to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act providing for the repairs
of the public roads and. bridges of Montgomery county, and.
to repeal a certain Act inconsistent therewith, reported it
with the following amendments :

Amend in the 4th line, section 1, after the word "dis-
tricts," by adding: and to alter the same from time to time.

Amend in the 6th line, section 3, after the word "the,"
the word ordinary.

Amend section 8th, 3d line, after the word "plows," add
the following : and determine the number of hours that shall
constitute a day's work, and cause the same to be entered
upon the minutes of their proceedings, and to notify the
supervisors thereof in writing.

Which, were severally read and adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Mr. Sellman moved that said bill be read the third time
this day.

The yeas and nays were called as required by section 27,
of Article 3, of the Constitution, and appeared, as follows:
