200 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 31,

The bill entitled a supplement to an Act entitled an Act
to incorporate a Company to build a Turnpike Road from
Libertytown, Frederick county, through Johnsville to Pipe
Creek, passed January session, 1864, and its supplement,
passed January session, 1868,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland, to the bequest of Stephen
Rigdon, late of Harford county, deceased, to the Trustees of
the Rock Ridge Regular Baptist Society or Church, in said
county,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to declare the sanction of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, to the bequest or devise of Hen-
ry A. Stinnecke, late of Baltimore city, deceased, to the
Bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church in Maryland,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled a supplement to the Act passed at Decem-
ber session, 1828, chapter 119, entitled a supplement to the
Act entitled an Act to provide for the making of the several
Turnpike Roads, and for the extension of the Charters of the
several Banks therein mentioned, passed at the December
session, 1827, chapter 42.

Being upon a second reading,

On motion of Mr. Ritter,

Was recommitted to the Frederick county delegation.

The bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to Arti-
cle 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws, of Frederick coun-
ty, relating to the powers and duties of the Mayor, Aldermen
and Common Council of Frederick, to follow section 169,
added thereto by the Act of 1868, chapter 87,

Being upon a second reading.

Mr. Ritter submitted the following amendment:

Sub-section 172, line 9, strikeout the word "blank," and
insert the words, one hundred thousand dollars.

Which was adopted.

The bill, as amended was then read a second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
