480 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 19,

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Sena-
tors from Montgomery, Somerset and Calvert counties.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 187, of Article II,
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick county, relating
to the number of Justices of the Peace and Constables, and re-
enact said section as follows.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Sena-
tors from Baltimore, Frederick and Talbot counties.

And returned the following Senate bills, endorsed, "Passed
by yeas and nays:"

A bill entitled an Act to extend the charter of the Pow-
hatan Steamboat Company.

A bill entitled an Act to amend, the charter of the Mary-
land Central Railroad Company, passed January session,
1867, chapter 121.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 146 of
Article 8, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Cecil
County," and relating to the village of Port Deposit, and re-
enact the same with amendments,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
the third reading.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the 21st and 23rd
sections of Article 50, of the Code of Public General Laws,
entitled "Jurors," as far as relates to Prince George's coun-
ty, and to enact the following as sections 62 and 63,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
the third reading.

The Senate bill entitled, an Act to amend the charter of
Snow Hill, in Worcester county,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Biggs, Kimmel,
Clarke, Miller,
Earle, Parker,
Grove, Snyder,
Henkle, Spates,
Henry, Timmons—13.
Hyland,
NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.
