On motion by Mr. Stephenson,

Leave was granted to the Senators from Harford and Dor-
chester counties, and the first legislative district of Baltimore
city, to report a bill to protect the owners of lands bounding
on the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, from injury done
by claimants of drift logs trespassing on said lands.

The House bill entitled an Act for the better protection of
Fur in Dorchester and Wicomico counties,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Biggs, Miller,
Carroll, Parker,
Clarke, Sellman,
Henkle, Snyder,
Henry, Stephenson,
Hyland, Timmons—13.
Kimmel,
NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then returned, to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Hyland, from the Select Committee to whom was re-
ferred House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 139 to 148
inclusive, of the Code of Public Local Laws for Somerset
county, relating to retailers, and. re-enact the same with
amendments, reported without amendments.

Said. bill was then read the second time.

The House bill entitled an Act to establish voting pre-
cincts in the 7th election district of Baltimore county,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Biggs, Miller,
Carroll, Parker,
Clarke, Sellman,
Henkle, Snyder,
Henry, Spates,
Hyland, Stephenson,
Kimmel, Timmons—14.

NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
On notion by Mr. Henkle,

'The Senate proceeded to the consideration of the Senate
bill entitled an Act to provide for a new codification of the
Iaws.
