the affidavit of two credible witnesses, that the party claim-
ing a pension under the provisions of this law. showing the
identity of. the claimant, that he or she is a bona fide resi-
dent of the State of Maryland, and that the soldier was a
resident of the State of Maryland at the time of such enlist-
ment, and has continued to be a resident ever since, and is
now a bonafide resident of said State, and served (3) months
as a soldier of the War of 1812, and that he or she is in in-
digent circumstances, &c.

Pending the consideration of which,
On motion by Mr. Henkle,

The bill, with proposed amendments, were recommitted to
the Committee on Militia, with instructions to report on
Monday next.

On motion by Mr. Earle,

Leave of absence was granted to Senators Malone and
Welch until Tuesday next.

On motion by Mr. Snyder,

Leave of absence was granted to Senator Wilson until
Tuesday next.

On motion by Mr. Fields,

Leave of absence was granted to Senator Maddox until
Thursday next.

Mr. Fields asked and obtained leave of absence from
to-morrow, Friday evening, until Thursday next.

On motion by Mr. Stephenson,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of the House
bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Harford county Rail-
road Company.

Said bill was then read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays, as follows :
