Maryland Mutual Fire Insurance Company, of Baltimore
city, the power to declare and make the premium notes of said
Company liens upon the real estate insured by said Company.

On motion of Mr. Sanner,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to in-
troduce a bill to repeal section 806 of the 4th Article of the
Code of Public Local Laws relating to Baltimore city, and the
organization of a Board of Police therefor, and re-enact the
same with amendments.

Mr. Hoblitzell, submitted the following:

JOINT RESOLUTIONS.

Be it Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Attorney General is hereby directed to institute forthwith
proper legal proceedings against the Baltimore & Ohio Rail-
road Company for the recovery of the sum which may be due
to the State for the one-fifth of the whole amount received by
the Company for the transportation of passengers on said
railroad, under the provisions of the Act of Assembly of
Maryland passed at December session, 1832, chapter 175,
section 8, and of the Supplement thereto, and to press the
same to a speedy and final determination.

And be it further resolved, That the Governor is hereby
authorized to employ counsel to aid the Attorney General in
the prosecution of the said proceedings.

Which were read a first time.

Mr. Chapman, from the Committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably a bill entitled an Act to make certain alieu
heirs of William Dalzell, late of Montgomery county, de-
ceased, to take by descent, certain lands lying in Mont-
gomery county, of which the said William Dalzell died
seized and possessed.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Morse, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably a bill entitled an Act to repeal sections
101,102, 105, and 145, of Article 11, of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Frederick county, relating to the powers and
duties of the Mayor, Aldermen and Common Council of
Frederick, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Frederick
county delegation.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of Incorporation
