Trustees of said University, are hereby authorized and em-
powered to use the real estate purchased by the Trustees for
hospital purposes, situated at the corner of Calvert and Sara-
toga streets, in the City of Baltimore, as a basis of credit for
obtaining by means of additional ground-rent, to be put upon
said property, or otherwise, a sum of money not exceeding
ten thousand dollars, to be used by the University with the
concurrence and approval of the President of the Board of
Trustees aforesaid, in enlarging the building now upon the
premises, or in erecting an additional building or buildings
for University and Hospital purposes upon said premises.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall be
in force from its passage.

Amend by striking out the word "three" in line 9, section
I, and insert the word eight.
Which was read and adopted.

Said bill as amended was then passed by yeas and nays,
