The Journal of yesterday was read and approved..

Mr. Wilson presented the petition of the employees of the
Laurel Factory, protesting against the enactment of a law
prohibiting children under the age of sixteen from working
in Cotton Factories longer than ten hours.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

On motion by Mr. Fields,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill entitled an Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 16, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Chancery," sub-title "Trustees," to follow section 139, of
said Article.

On motion by Mr. Fields,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to
report a bill entitled an Act to amend Article 28, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title " County Commis-
sioners," by adding thereto the following sections, to follow
section 104, thereof, under the sub-title " Contracts and
Claims."
