Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal of the House,
that W. T. Markland is detained from the business of this
House by reason of sickness.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Hopkins submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that Wm. M.
Ady is detained from his seat in this House by sickness.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Woolford submitted the following order :

Ordered, That two additional members be added to the
Special Committee on "Wild Fowl."

Which was adopted, and

Messrs. Brattan and Harrington added to said Committee.

Mr. Chapman submitted the following order:

Ordered, That leave of absence for one day be granted the
Hon. John W. Mitchell, of Charles county.

Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Duke,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill for the relief of John Wesley Shuinwell, of
Oalvert county.

On motion of Mr. Kean.

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of 1860,
chapter 265, entitled an Act to incorporate the Consolidation
Coal Company.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the New York and
George's Creek Coal Company, of Allegany county.

On motion of Mr. Dennis,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Dennis, Purnell and Lank-
ford, to report a bill granting the Register of Wills for Wor-
cester county, the power to grant orders of sale during the
recess of the Orphans' Court.

On motion of Mr. Ritter,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Internal Improve-
ments, to report a bill to authorize the Frederick and Penn-
sylvania Line Railroad Company to build a Railroad from
Frederick city, the terminus of the road which it is authoriz-
