Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills:

A bill entitled an Act to authorize and require the County
Commissioners of Baltimore county to levy a sum of money
not exceeding $300, for the purpose of reimbursing certain
parties for expenses incurred in the erection of two bridges
in Baltimore county.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Sena-
tors from Baltimore, Anne Arundel and Frederick counties.

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Carroll county to indemnify William Shaw for the
destruction of his property in the City of Westminster, by a
mob, in April, 1865, and to levy a sum of money for the
payment of such indemnity.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Carroll, Prince George's and Cecil counties.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 93 to 95, inclu-
sive, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, for
Charles county, sub-title "Roads," and to repeal chapter
452 of the Acts passed at the January session, 1868, &c.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Charles, Prince George's and St. Mary's counties.

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Burgess and Com-
missioners of the corporation of Smithsburg to introduce into
said town any body of water that may be necessary for a full
supply for said town.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Washington and Harford counties, and the First Legis-
lative district of Baltimore city.

A bill entitled an additional supplement to an Act entitled
an Act to incorporate the Roman Catholic Congregation in
Baltimore town, passed November session, 1795, chapter 15,
to enable the said corporation to purchase a new burial
ground.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to provide for the maintaining and
keeping in repair the public roads in Anne Arundel county,
and to repeal the Act passed at January session 1868,
