Mr. Wilson submitted the following amendment :
Amend the first section by striking out of the sixth line
the words "Western Maryland Produce," and insert in lieu
thereof the following: Maryland Farmers' and Planters'
Produce Co-operative.

Which was read and adopted.
The section as amended was then read. and adopted.

Said. bill as amended was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The President announced a communication from his Excel-
lency Governor Bowie, by the hands of R. C. Hollyday,
Esq., Secretary of State, endorsed, "On Executive Business."

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing messages:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 12,1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message asking the appointment of
a Committee of Conference, of one on the part of the Senate
and two on the part of the House, to take into consideration
the bill entitled an Act relating to the division lines of the
5th election district of Baltimore county, and concur therein.
We have appointed, on the part of the House, Mr. Turner.

BY TUB HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 14,1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We request that your Honorable Body will return to this
House, a bill entitled an Act to add additional section to Arti-
cle 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "City of
Baltimore," sub-title "Police," which was passed by the
House of Delegates, March 10th, and sent to the Senate.
