NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
On motion by Mr. Wilson,

Leave of absence was granted A. R. Boteler, Folder, until
Wednesday next.

On motion by Mr. Malone,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of Executive busi-
ness, and after a time, resumed the consideration of Legisla-
tive business.

On motion by Mr. Malone,
The Senate adjourned.

MONDAY, March 14,1870.
The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.
Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Hildt.
Present at roll call; the following Senators :

Messrs. President, Browne, Carroll, Fields, Henry, Hy-
land, Kimmel, Maddox, Malone, Snyder, Spates, Stephenson,
Wilson—13.

The Journal of Saturday was read and approved.

The President laid before the Senate a communication from
the Clerk to the County Commissioners of Caroline county in
response to an order of the Senate in relation to the amount
of taxes derived from mortgages in said county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance.
