Which was read the first time, and referred to the Sena-
tors from Somerset, Queen Anne's and Kent counties.

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Kent county to open and enlarge the public road
in said county passing through the village known as Massey's
Cross Roads, in said county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Sena-
tors from Kent, Queen Anne's and Calvert counties.

A bill entitled an Act to amend the Public General Laws,
passed at the January session, 1865, chapter 31, so as to .ex-
empt Wicomico and Dorchester counties from the effect of
the second section thereof, so far as relates to the publication
of the Local Laws.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Sena-
tors from Wicomico, Dorchester and Caroline counties.

A bill entitled an Act to extend the corporate powers of the
Cumberland and Somerset Turnpike Road Company, incor-
porated by the Act of 1841, chapter 60, and the supplement
thereto, passed by the Act of 1842, chapter 96, until the year
1900.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to Ar-
ticle 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled " City of
Baltimore," sub-title "Police," and be section 827, of said
Article.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments, an Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Corn and
Flour Exchange of the City of Baltimore, passed March 23,
1865, chapter 83.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate a House of Refuge for
colored children, and to appropriate a sum of money to the
same.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

A bill entitled an Act to regulate the fees of the Sheriff of
Worcester county, so far as relates to the board of prisoners.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Sena-
tors from Worcester, Cecil and Howard counties.
