The Senate proceeded to the consideration of Executive
business, and after a time resumed the consideration of
Legislative business.

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 43, of Ar-
ticle 61, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Me-
chanics' Lien," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. President, Kimmel,
Browne, Miller
Carroll, Parker,
Clarke, Sellman,
Earle, Stephenson,
Fields, Timmons,
Henry, Welch,
Jump, Wilson—16.

NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
On motion Mr. Stephenson,

The House Joint Resolutions in relation to the Cattle
Scales in Baltimore city,

Were read the third time and passed, by yeas and nays, as
follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.

Carroll, Parker,
Clarke, Sellman,
Earle, Spates,
Henry, Stephenson,
Jump, Welch,
Kimmel, Wilson—16.

Said. Resolutions were then returned to the House of Dele-
gates.

Mr. Clarke moved that the rules be suspended in order
to give the Senate bill entitled an Act to extend the time
for completing the Metropolitan Railroad the third reading
