Which was read and referred to the Senators from the
Eastern Shore counties.

Mr. Miller submitted the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

March 9,1870.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message proposing the appointment
of a Committee consisting of three on the part of the House
and two on the part of the Senate, to confer upon Senate ac-
tion adopting an unfavorable report from Committee on Ju-
dicial Proceedings, upon House bill entitled an Act to add
an additional section to Article 12, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, entitled "Harford county," sub-title "State's
Attorney, "and concur therein.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Stephenson and Maddox.

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills:

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 28, of Article 56,
of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to licenses to
Foreign Insurance Companies, and re-enact the same with
amendments, so as to read as follows.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

A bill entitled an. Act to incorporate the New York and
George's Creek Coal Company.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to amend an Act entitled an Act in-
corporating the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Walnut Level
Coal and Iron Company of Maryland.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to amend an Act entitled an Act to
incorporate the Mercantile Library Association of Baltimore
