On motion by Mr. Clarke, it was

Ordered, That the Comptroller report to the Senate how,
and. to what extent, the Free School Fund of the State will
be effected by the failure of the Baltimore and Ohio Rail-
road Company to pay to the State its share of the proceeds of
the Washington Branch Road.

On motion by Mr. Grove, it was,

Ordered, That after the 15th day of March, inst., the
Senate will convene at the hour of 8 o'clock, P. M.; nothing
herein contained to conflict with the present order, This to
be the order until rescinded by the Senate.

The Senate resumed the consideration of the unfinished
business of Friday last.

The question being upon the adoption of the unfavorable
Report of the Committee on Finance on the House Joint Reso-
lutions in reference to the claim of the State against the Bal-
timore and Ohio Railroad Company.

The further consideration of said Report was postponed
until to-morrow, at 11o'clock.
