Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Caroline, Wicomico and Dorchester counties.

A bill entitled an Act to amend the Act passed at the
January session of the General Assembly, of eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-seven, chapter three hundred and twenty,
entitled an Act to incorporate the Trustees of the Parsonage-
belonging to the Mechanicstown charge of the German Re-
formed Church.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to authorize James S. Morsell, Jr.,.
of Calvert county, Mason L. Weems, George F. Needham,
of Baltimore city, and Wm. B. Hill, of Prince George's
county, to construct a pier at No. 3 Tobacco Warehouse
wharf, in the City of Baltimore.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Calvert, Prince George's, and the Senator from the third
district of Baltimore city.

A bill entitled an Act to regulate the pay of Bailiffs of the
Superior Court of Baltimore city, of the Court of Common
Pleas of Baltimore city, of the Baltimore City Court, of the
Circuit Court of Baltimore city, and of the Criminal Court;
of Baltimore city,

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the scooping of oysters-
in certain waters of Dorchester county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

The Senate bill entitled an Act, passed January session,.
1868, chapter 104, appropriating a sum of money to remove
the Confederate dead to Antietam National Cemetery, and.
in lieu thereof to enact the following,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed fur
a third reading.

Mr. Timmons, from the Select Committee to whom was
referred the Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections
I and 4, of chapter 31, of the Code of Public General Laws)
passed January session, 1865, in relation to the publication
of laws, reported it with the following amendment:

Amend by striking out all after the word "bill," and in-
