Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 101, 102, 105 and
145 of Article 11, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Frederick county, relating to the powers and duties of the
Mayor, Aldermen and Common Council of Frederick city,
and re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Frederick, Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties.

A bill entitled an Act to add a section to the Act passed
at the December session, 1828, chapter 119, entitled a sup-
plement to the Act to provide for making the several turn-
pike roads, and for the extension of the charter of the seve-
ral Banks therein named, passed at the December session,
1827, chapter 42.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act for the better protection of Birds in
Allegany county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Senators
from Allegany, Howard and Worcester counties.

A bill entitled an Act to lay off streets in Baltimore coun-
ty, adjoining Baltimore city, and to repeal certain sections
inconsistent therewith.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Sena-
tors from Baltimore, Frederick and Anne Arundel counties.

A bill entitled an Act lo extend the powers of the Regis-
ter of Wills of Worcester county,

Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Timmons, Carroll and Miller.

Abill entitled an Act to authorize Philos Lodge, No. 9,
Independent Order of Odd Fellows, to divide into burial
lots the parcel of land owned by them, known as the
''Philos Cemetery," and to sell the same and issue certifi-
