tee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act to exempt Washington county from
the operation of an Act passed at the January session, 1864,

chapter 71, entitled an Act to add to the 41st Article of the
Code of Public General Laws, in relation to fish and fisheries,
the following additional section relating to the waters of the
Potomac river, lying between the mouth of New Creek and
Weaverton dam.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act to authorize John T. Waller, guar-

dian, to settle his accounts as guardian to Charles N. Waller,
and to deliver over the estate to his ward.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled a supplement to the Act entitled an Act
to incorporate the Frederick and Emmittsburg Turnpike
company, passed at the December session, 1844, chapter
136.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

A bill entitled an Act to require certain contracts for the
purchase or sale of real or leasehold estate, or of any inter-
est therein, or for the procurement of money or other valua-
ble security upon mortgage to be in writing.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act to change the provisions of section
1, of Article 11, of the Constitution of this State, title
"Baltimore city," relating to the term of office of the Mayor
of said city, as provided in and by section nine of said Arti-
cle.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the payment
of a sum of money to Chas. E. Hayward, State's Attorney
for Dorchester county, for professional services rendered the
State,
