Ezra Arnold and 96 other citizens of Frederick county, for
the passage of a law prohibiting the sale of intoxicating
liquors in Petersville District, in said county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-

diciary.

Mr. Jordan presented the petition of John Bankard for a
pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sion .

Mr. Kean presented the petition of Eliza A. White, pray-
ing for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Biddle presented the petition of Dr. R. H. Tuft, Hon.
Hiram MeCullough and 46 others, of Cecil county, asking
for the better protection of Wild Fowl.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on that
subject.

Mr. Ehlen presented a petition from August Wegner,
Jr., and 24 others, for the better protection of Wild Fowl.

Which was read and referred lo the Select Committee on that
subject.

Mr. Harrington presented the petition of Benjamin L.
Smith and 100 other citizens of Dorchester county, asking
the exemption of Little Choptank River, in said county,
from the operations of the Dredge or Scoop Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

Mr. Streett submitted the following order :

Ordered, That Richard Holland be directed to hoist the
National Flag from the dome of the State House during the
session of the General Assembly, and to lower the same

when the Houses adjourn, and that the Hall-keeper hereto-
fore appointed, be excused from the performance of that
duty.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Neill called up the following order submitted by him
on yesterday:

Ordered, That the bill incorporating the Antietam Rail-
road Company, of Washington county, be exempted from
the order of this House requiring all bills to bo printed be-
fore being put on their second reading.
