A communication from the Mayor of the city of Baltimore,
in reference to an Ordinance.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore city dele-
gation.

Mr. Grouse presented the petition of Win. Shaw, asking
to be indemnified for the destruction by mob, of his son's
(Joseph Shaw) printing press, in the city of Westminster,
Carroll county, in April, 1865, signed by Jno. B. Boyle,
Jacob Powder, Levi Buffington and 38 other citizens of Car-
roll county.

Which was read and referred to the Carroll county dele-
gation.

Mr. Wells presented the petition of Thomas Phenix, of
Anne Arundel county, for a pension, as an aged and helpless
old defender in 1812.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Kean presented the petition of Elizabeth Ridgely,
praying for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Thomas presented the petition of Jacob Hightman,
