On motion by Mr. Fields,

The Senate was called, and the Sergeant-at-Arms di-
rected to inform absent Senators that their attendance was
required in the Senate Chamber.

The Sergeant-at- Arms returned to the Senate and repotted
that he had. notified all the absent Senators to be found,

On motion by Mr. Kimmel,
Further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.

The question then recurred, upon the amendment submit-
ted by Mr. Earle.

Mr. Henkle called for the yeas and nays.
On the question being put,
It was determined in the negative.
