Mr. Clarke moved that the Senate take a recess for two
hours.

On the question being put, it was determined in the nega-
tive by yeas and nays, as follows.

Clarke, Wilson—6.

NEGATIVE.
Messrs. President, Malone,
Fields, Sellman,
Hyland, Spates,
Jump, Timmons,
Kimmel, Welch—10.

Mr. Welch moved that the Senate adjourn.
Mr. Welch withdrew his motion.
On motion by Mr. Clarke,

The Senate was called, and the Sergeant-at-Arms directed
to inform the absent Senators that their attendance was
required in the Senate Chamber.

On motion by Mr. Earle,

Further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.
Mr. Earle moved that the Senate adjourn.
Mr. Clarke called for the yeas and nays.
On the question being put,
It was determined in the negative.
