Said bill as amended was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Clarke,

Leave of absence was granted to the Senator from Mont-
gomery until Monday evening.

At 6.45, on motion by Mr. Henkle,
The Senate adjourned.

SATURDAY, February 12,1870,
The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.
Prayer by the Rev. Father Duffey.
Present at roll call the following Senators :

Messrs. President, Biggs, Browne, Clarke, Henkle, Henry,
Jump, Malone, Miller, Parker, Spates, Timmons, Welch,
Wilson—14.

On motion by Mr. Malone,

Leave of absence was granted to the Senator from Dorches-
ter, until Friday next.

On motion by Mr. Clarke, it was

Ordered, That hereafter the Senate meet at 11 o'clock, A.
M. until otherwise ordered.

On motion by Mr. Timmons,

Leave was granted to Senators Timmons, Miller and
Jump, .to bring in a bill to change the name of the Town of
Sandy Hill, in the eighth election district of Worcester county,
to the name of "Stockton."

On motion by Mr. Spates,

Leave was granted to Senators Spates, Clarke and Browne
to report a bill to repeal the Act of 1868, chapter 63, in rela-
tion to certain roads in Allegany county and the appointment
of superintendents of said roads by the Orphans' Court of
said county.

On motion by Mr. Timmons,

The regular order of business was suspended in order to
make a report from the Committee of Conference on House
bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments,
