Mr. Carroll submitted the following order :

Ordered, That stamps to the amount of $15 be allowed.
to each officer of the Senate.

Which was read.

Mr. Carroll withdrew said order.
On motion by Mr. Maddox,

The order directing the Postmaster to furnish the same
amount of postage stamps to the officers of the Senate that
are furnished to the members of the Senate, was taken from
the table.

Mr. Carroll submitted the following amendment' to the
amendment submitted by Mr. Snyder :

That stamps to the amount of $15 be allowed to each
officer of the Senate.

On the question being put, it was determined in the affir-
mative.

The question then recurred upon the adoption of the order
as amended, and it was determined in the affirmative.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
was referred House bill entitled an Act to amend an Act
passed at the General Assembly of Maryland in the year
1858, chapter 276, entitled an Act to incorporate the Mary-
land Mutual Life and Fire Insurance Company, by changing
the corporate name thereof, reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second, time.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
was referred House bill entitled an Act to amend the Act
passed March 9, 1850, to incorporate the Potomac Steam-
boat Company, and to extend the charter of the same as
amended, reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.
Also,

House bill entitled a Supplement to the Act entitled an
Act to create and incorporate the Monocacy and Montgomery
Turnpike Company, chapter 179, passed at the January ses-
sion, 1865, to repeal sections 2, 3 and 7 thereof, and re-enact
the same with amendments, reported it without amendment.

Said bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
was referred Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the
National Co-operative Business Agency Company reported
it favorably.
