Mr. Henkle presented the memorial of the Trustees of
the Maryland Agricultural College, asking an appropriation
to aid them in carrying out the object for which the College
was established.

On motion by Mr. Carroll,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to introduce
a bill to repeal from section 293 to 330, of Article 4,
Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the inspection of fish;
to repeal from section 330 to 354, of Article 4, Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, relating to the inspection of flour ; to repeal
from section 398 to 410, of Article 4, Code of Public Local
Laws relating to the inspection of guano, and to repeal from
section 486 to 494 of Article 4, Code of Public Local Laws,
relating to the inspection of manure.

Mr. Timmons submitted the following message :

BY THE SENATE.
February 11, 1870.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message proposing the appointment
of a Committee of Conference, to consist of three on the part
of the House and two on the part of the Senate, to confer on
the proposed Senate amendments to House bill entitled an
Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments, section 170, of
Article 30, of the Public General Laws, entitled "Crimes and
Punishments," sub-title 'Rivers," and concur therein.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Timmons and Miller.

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to; and sent to the House of

Delegates.

On motion by Mr. Wilson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to

introduce a bill to incorporate the "Spa City Hotel Com-
pany" of Bladensburg, Prince George's county.
