Amend section 5 by striking out all after the word "afore-
said," in line 72, to the end of the section.

Which was adopted.

The section as amended was then adopted.
Mr. Snyder submitted the following amendment :

Amend section 6 by, inserting after the word '"road,"," where
it occurs in the third line, the words, outside of the limits of
the City of Baltimore.

Which was adopted.

The section as amended, was then adopted.
Mr. Grove submitted the following amendment :

Amend section 7 by adding at the end of the section, after
the word "passengers," in line thirty-two, the following :
Provided, however, that the Western Maryland Railroad
Company and the Union Railroad Company shall have the
right to use the said road for the passage of passengers and
freight between the aforesaid points, upon the terms and con-
ditions and payments contained and prescribed in the 4th
section of the ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore, approved on the 29th of May, 1869, entitled an
ordinance to authorize the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad
Company to make certain uses of the streets in the city of
Baltimore in the construction of said railroad within the lim-
its of the city.

Mr. Snyder submitted the following amendment to the

amendment:

And provided further, that any railroad company hereto-
fore incorporated, or such as may hereafter be incorporated,
shall have the same rights and privileges to the use of the
said line and tracks of the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad
within the corporate limits of the city of Baltimore, upon the

same terms, and subject to the same conditions and restric-
tions as those imposed upon the Western Maryland Railroad
Company.

On the question being put, it was determined in the nega-
tive by yeas and nays, as follows :
