with amendments, subject, "Home of the Friendless." Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred House bill entitled an Act granting
the assent of the General Assembly of Maryland, to a be-
quest of a legacy made in the last will and testament of
Elizabeth A. McMains, late of Cecil county, deceased, to the
Trustees of the lower West Nottingham Presbyterian Church,
in said county, reported it without amendment. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred the House bill entitled an Act to
authorize the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, to en-
dorse the mortgage bonds of the Western Maryland Railroad
Company to the amount of $1,400,000, &c., reported it with-
out amendment. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Miller from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred the Senate bill entitled an Act to in-
corporate the National Go-Operative Business Agency Com-
pany, asked to be discharged from the further consideration
thereof. On motion by Mr. Malone, Said bill was then referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions. Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to whom the
leave was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to refund
Abraham Graybill, of Frederick county, certain State Taxes
erroneously paid into the Treasury in the year 1867. Which was read the first time, Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to, whom was
referred House bill entitled an Act to continue in force
an Act entitled an Act for the benefit of the Library Com-
pany of the Baltimore Bar. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to whom was
referred House bill entitled an Act to refund John R. Rob-
ertson, late Sheriff of Charles county, the sum of forty-nine
dollars and fourteen cents, being interest upon the balance of
his account as adjusted by the Comptroller, September 30th,
1869, under the Act of 1868, chapter 210, reported it without
amendments, Said bill was then read the second time.
