Excellency, the Governor, to extend an invitation to the Hon
Horatio Seymour, Hon. R. B. Rosevelt, and Seth Green,
Esq., to visit Annapolis and address the Legislature upon the
subject offish, their cultivation, preservation, &c., some eve-
ning that may be convenient to them.

We have named on the part of the House, Messrs. Chap-
man, Merrick and McLane.

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

February 9,1870.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
the appointment of a Committee consisting of three on the part
of this House, and two on the part of the Senate, to con-
fer upon proposed Senate amendments to House bill entitled
an Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 170,
Article 30, Public General Laws, entitled "Crimes and Pun-
ishments," sub-title, "Rivers," the House having refused
to concur in amendments proposed by the Senate.

We have appointed on the part of this House, Messrs..
McLane, Hopkins and Cooper.

Which was read,

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing bills:

A bill entitled an Act granting the assent of the General
Assembly to a bequest of a legacy made in the last will and
testament of Elizabeth A. McMains, late of Cecil county,
deceased, to the Trustees of the Lower West Nottingham
Presbyterian Church, in said county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to endorse the mortgage bonds of the
Western Maryland Railroad Company, to the amount of
$1,400,000, as provided by an ordinance of the said Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore, entitled an ordinance,

Was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Judicial Proceedings.
