the leave was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to en-
able the Mount Vernon Manufacturing Company of Balti-
more city, incorporated under Article 26, of the Public Gene-
ral Laws of the State, as the same is amended by the Act of
January session, 1868, chapter 471, to conduct its manufac-
turing operations upon the property owned by it in the city
of Alexandria, Va.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
the leave was granted, reported, a. bill entitled, an Act to
amend the Act of 1841, chapter 32, entitled an Act to incor-
porate the Maryland College of Pharmacy, and to renew and
extend said charter, &c.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Timmons, from the Select Committee to whom the
leave was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to regulate-
the number of County Commissioners for Worcester county.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Timmons, from the Select Committee to whom tlifr
leave was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to repeal
section 38, of Article 22, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Worcester county, passed at the January session, 1868.

Mr. Malone, from the Select Committee to whom the leave
was granted, reported a bill entitled an Act to re-enact and
continue in force an Act passed at the December session,
1847, chapter 306, and to make certain amendments thereto.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations to whom
was referred House bill entitled a supplement to an Act en-
titled an Act to incorporate the Peoples' Gas Company of
Baltimore city, reported it with the following amendment :

A supplement and amendment to an Act entitled "An Act
to incorporate the People's Gas Company of Baltimore city,"
passed at January session, 1860, chapter 291, re-affirming
said Act, and authorizing said Company to receive real es-
tate, stocks, bonds and other property in payment for sub-
scription to the capital stock, and to make payments for ma-
terial and labor in the capital stock ; creating the office of
Vice-President, and providing for his election; decreasing
the number of Directors in said Company to five, and amend-
ing the second section of said Act so that the capital may be
increased "by" any amount not exceeding two millions of
dollars, in place of "for" any amount not exceeding said sum.
