On motion by Mr. Browne,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Bachman Valley Railroad
Company, in Carroll county.

On motion by Mr. Malone,

Leave was granted to Senators Malone, Henry and Fields,
to introduce abill to incorporate "The National Co-operative
Business Agency Company."

On motion by Mr. Malone,

Leave was granted to Senators Malone, Henry and Fields,
to introduce a bill to amend and revive an Act passed at De-
cember session, 1847, chapter 306, entitled "An Act to in-
corporate the Withers Mining Company."

Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
lo whom was referred the petition of Anthony Kimmel
and other citizens of the village of New London, Frederick
county, praying for the passage of a law to prohibit the sale?
of intoxicating drinks in said village, reported it unfavor-
ably, and the report was adopted.

Mr. Miller, from the same Committee, reported unfavor-
ably the Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the 15th section
of the 1st Article of the Code of Public Local Laws of Alle-
gany county, as amended by the Act of 1864, chapter 164,
relating to the mileage of the County Commissioners of Al-
legany county, and the report was adopted,

Mr. Miller, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to whom was referred House bill entitled an Act to repeal
and re-enact with amendments section 170; of Article 30,
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Crimes and
Punishments," sub-title "Rivers," reported it with the fol-
lowing amendment:

Amend by inserting after the word "pay," in the 18th line,
the words "a sum not exceeding."

Which was adopted.
Mr. Timmons submitted, the following amendment :

Amend by striking out the words in the second line, "in
the Chesapeake Bay," and the third line, the words 'above
Cedar Point or."
Which was adopted,
Said bill as amended was then read the second time.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations, to whom
Senate bill entitled an Act to amend an Act entitled a Sup-
plement to an Act to incorporate the Superannuated Friend
